Mini Starfish Tuna Sandwiches (Print View)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 12 slices white sandwich bread, crustless

→ Filling

02 - 4.2 oz canned tuna in water, drained
03 - 2 tbsp mayonnaise
04 - 1 tsp Dijon mustard
05 - 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
06 - 1 tbsp finely chopped chives
07 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ Decoration

08 - 24 black olive slices (for eyes)
09 - 24 small capers (for decoration)
10 - 1 small carrot, peeled and finely diced (optional star points)

# Directions:

01 - Using a star-shaped cookie cutter, cut out star shapes from each bread slice to yield 24 stars.
02 - Combine tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chives, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
03 - Spread a generous spoonful of the tuna mixture onto half of the bread stars, then top with remaining bread stars to form sandwiches.
04 - Press two olive slices onto one point of each sandwich to create eyes, placing a caper in the center of each olive slice.
05 - Optionally, decorate the tips of the star points with finely diced carrot pieces for extra detail.
06 - Arrange the sandwiches on a platter and serve chilled.
