Ingredients
- Bread: 1 fresh baguette
- Optional Garnish: 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, 1 clove garlic halved, 1 tbsp fresh herbs (e.g. parsley, thyme) finely chopped
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Step 2:
- Slice the baguette into 1 cm (½ inch) thick rounds.
- Step 3:
- Arrange the slices in a circle on a baking sheet with each slice slightly overlapping the next to form a ring.
- Step 4:
- Optional Lightly brush the top of each slice with olive oil and rub with the cut side of the garlic clove. Sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired.
- Step 5:
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the bread is golden and crisp.
- Step 6:
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving as a centerpiece or platter for dips.
