A rustic, visually appealing bread presentation featuring crisp baguette slices arranged in a decorative circle—perfect for serving with dips, cheese, or soups.

This is one of my favorite appetizers to bring to gatherings because it looks impressive but takes hardly any time to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Bread: 1 fresh baguette
  • Optional Garnish: 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, 1 clove garlic halved, 1 tbsp fresh herbs (e.g. parsley, thyme) finely chopped

Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2:
Slice the baguette into 1 cm (½ inch) thick rounds.
Step 3:
Arrange the slices in a circle on a baking sheet with each slice slightly overlapping the next to form a ring.
Step 4:
Optional Lightly brush the top of each slice with olive oil and rub with the cut side of the garlic clove. Sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired.
Step 5:
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the bread is golden and crisp.
Step 6:
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving as a centerpiece or platter for dips.
