Ginger Prebiotic Lemonade (Print View)

Zesty lemon and ginger with prebiotic fiber for a refreshing, gut-supporting chilled beverage.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Ginger syrup

01 - 1/2 cup fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
02 - 1 cup water
03 - 1/2 cup raw honey or maple syrup

→ Lemonade base

04 - 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4–5 lemons)
05 - 6 1/3 cups cold filtered water
06 - 2 tablespoons prebiotic fiber powder (e.g., inulin or acacia)
07 - Ice cubes, as needed

→ Garnish (optional)

08 - Lemon slices
09 - Fresh mint leaves

# Directions:

01 - Combine the sliced ginger and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes to extract flavor. Remove from heat, strain through a fine mesh strainer, pressing the solids to extract liquid, then stir in the honey or maple syrup until fully incorporated. Allow the syrup to cool completely.
02 - In a large pitcher combine the cooled ginger syrup, the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the cold filtered water. Add the prebiotic fiber powder and whisk or stir vigorously until the powder is fully dispersed and the liquid is uniform.
03 - Taste the mixture and amend sweetness as desired by adding additional honey or maple syrup, stirring until dissolved.
04 - Add ice to the pitcher or fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves when serving.
