→ Dipping Sauce (optional)

13 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
14 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
15 - 1 teaspoon sugar
16 - 1 teaspoon chili sauce (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Combine ground chicken, grated carrot, sliced green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Mix thoroughly until uniformly blended.
02 - Slice each lumpia wrapper in half to create two rectangular pieces.

04 - Continue filling and rolling remaining wrappers until all mixture is used.
05 - Heat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
06 - Place lumpia bites in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with oil.
07 - Cook for 8 minutes, then flip and spray bites again with oil.
08 - Continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
09 - Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and chili sauce in a small bowl until sugar dissolves.
10 - Serve lumpia bites hot alongside the dipping sauce.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You get all the crunch and flavor of deep-fried lumpia without heating a pot of oil or dealing with cleanup.
  • Each bite is small enough to pop in your mouth, making them dangerously easy to keep eating.
  • The filling stays juicy inside while the wrapper crisps up perfectly in the air fryer.
02 -
  • Do not skip the oil spray, even a light mist makes the difference between pale and golden.
  • If you overfill the wrappers, they will burst open in the air fryer, so keep the portions small and tight.
  • Flip them halfway through so both sides crisp up evenly, otherwise one side stays soft.
03 -
  • Freeze uncooked lumpia bites on a tray, then transfer to a freezer bag so you can air fry them straight from frozen whenever a craving hits.
  • Use kitchen scissors to cut the wrappers instead of a knife, it is faster and cleaner.
  • Taste the filling before you start rolling, adjust the seasoning while you still can.
